Walks along the coast

Various pictures from walks along the coast at Abereiddy and St Justinian to Caerfai.

St David’s Peninsula

Pembrokeshire is famous for its beaches and the St David’s peninsula has its fair share. Caerfai pictured below is a fine example and only a 20 minute walk (about one mile) away.  It’s a lovely beach, and dog friendly all year round.

Caerfai Bay

The picturesque village and harbour at Solva is a great place to start or end a walk, having lots of places to eat and drink and some interesting shops.

Porthclais is a lovely and picturesque little harbour less than a mile and a half away. There’s a car park, loos and in summer a tea spot selling tea and cakes.

The Bishops pub from the cross

The Bishops shown to the left in this photo is one of the pubs just off the square.

The Farmers Arms which is just down Goat Street to the left is a great local pub. Dogs are welcome in the bar of both.

The pictures below were all taken within about 250 yards as the crow flies from Haddocks’ Rest.
